About Me

Well let me see here. I've lived in Indianapolis for a few years now and I still like it more than my home town. There are always new places to eat or to check out which is nice. Although the traffic can be a pain in the ass at times.

I have a degree in Computer Technology from Purdue that hasn't seemed to really help much when it came to getting a job (at least not knowingly). I'm currently an ASP.NET(C#) developer for a local company on the north side of the city.

I enjoy anything to do with technology, cars, entertainment as well as working out at the local gym a few days a week at the new Monon Center.

This blog utilizes Wordpress for posting and maintaining the site.  A few plugins I am using include (but aren't limited to):

CodeHighterPlugin This plugin formats code blocks... it has a very large number of supported languages.

reCATPCHA Stop the spamand help OCR so it can translate books to digital formats easier!

dTree This allows categories, archives, and more to be organized in a tree that greatly reduces vertical space required by these nagivational elements.

Cumulus You know that nifty Tag Cloud animation on the side bar? This awesome plugin makes it happen.  If you're having issues with the new Chrome browser and this plugin... make sure your XHTML is valid!  Invalid XHTML was adding 6 seconds to load time while using this plugin for some reason.  The developer of Cumulus, Roy Tanck, was kind enough to help me to figure this out.  Thanks Roy!
