Well, my pants are starting to require a belt in order to stay put... I am thinking this is a good sign.  I've also managed to increase weight on every single exercise each week!  I need to come up with or find an app to monitor my strength increases.  I'm still trying hard to hit 3k cals a day... it is getting easier with each passing week.  Do keep in mind I am currently lifting heavy and trying to gain mass with 200 lbs being the goal before I begin to cut down.

Personal bests that I recall from the previous week... 

Leg Press: 415 X 10 on 4th (final) set

Lat Pulldown: 150 X 4, 130 X 6 first set (a tad too heavy to start with)

Leg Extension: 190 X 10 on 4th (final) set

Skull Crushers (triceps): 85 X 6 on 3rd (final) set

Standing Calve Raise: 210 X 8  on 4th (final) set

Holographic Universe

Part 1:

The new album is pretty powerful... a slightly different flavor perhaps but I am still enjoying greatly.  If you're a fan of growls mixed in with clean vocals, as always, Scar Symmetry is the band of choice (in my book at least).  I just got the new album recently and learned about something I hadn't heard about that occured about a month ago...

Part 2:

On October 6th, they ditched their lead vocalist... so on one side I feel bummed since I really love Christian Älvestam's voice.  They have already found not one but two additional vocalists... one devoted to growls and one devoted to clean lyrics.  I'm thinking this could either work out amazing or it will totally flop.  I guess we will just have to wait and see.

So, you're supposed to eat every 2-3 hours right? You are sitting at a computer... deep in thought... coding away like a mad man and the hours seem to fly by. Oh crap! I didn't eat!

This doesn't happen often to me... usually right at the 2 hour mark my body says "eat or feel like shit". Well, here is this application featured on Lifehacker called Multi-Timer.

Adjusting to 3k a day

Okay, so I'm hitting my caloric intake pretty well now that I'm portioning out meals into tupper-ware containers. It is getting easier to consume the additional calories. I'm having a real blast in the gym. I have plenty of energy to blow my way through my workouts.

I weighed in at 184 yesterday, before lifting... 16 more to go to my goal. The most I've been was 194 a couple years ago before becoming a lazy ass.

I successfully ate around 3000 calories yesterday.  All and all I would have to say I feel pretty great.  I had plenty of energy to fuel my workout.  I think the funniest part of my day yesterday was when one of the girls at work asked me if I was eating lunch when I was preparing my fourth meal of the day around 4PM.  I guess we will see how I feel after a couple days of this.  I already feel pretty sore from doing multiple sets yesterday.  We worked on triceps and chest yesterday and I'm thinking legs are for Wednesday this week because I can't imagine being able to put any effort into my back or biceps tomorrow.
